The shortlist for the 2024 edition of the World Architecture Festival has been revealed ahead of the annual live in-person event, which takes place in Singapore's Marina Bay Sands from November 6th to the 8th this year.

A panel of 175 international judges, including Peter Cook, Nigel Coates, and Mario Cucinella, was able to narrow 800 entries to the shortlist of over 480 projects from more than 350 unique practices representing 71 different countries. Built and future projects in 33 categories, ranging from residential to transport to retrofit, were selected. The shortlisted finalist will be joined later this month by the announcement of over 30 awards in the WAFX section.

"Another terrific set of entries made shortlisting projects a tough process. Once again, the range of geographies represented was wide and we look forward to seeing architects across the world at this year’s Festival," WAF's program director Paul Finch commented.

Take a look at a selection of winning projects below.
