Mongolian Cool School Design Challenge attracts over 180 entries, winner TBA in May

By Bustler Editors|

Thursday, Apr 9, 2015

For the Building Trust International's 6th international design competition, the Cool School Design Challenge invited participants to propose extreme climate-resilient school designs for the community in Khovd, Mongolia. Local inhabitants have to face subzero temperatures during the winter months.

Following the April 3 deadline, the Challenge drew in over 180 entries -- whose authors aren't being revealed for now. Once the winning proposal is announced on May 1, BTI will work with competition partners World Vision, local government, and the Khovd school community to build the design.

Check out a selection of the entries right below.
