David Adjaye will lead this year's RIBA Stirling Prize Jury, who will be tasked with selecting the UK's Best New Building of the Year. In the coming weeks, the jury will visit each of the six shortlisted projects.

Working with Adjaye are jury members: Ben Derbyshire, RIBA President; Alex de Rijke, the 2017 RIBA Stirling Prize winner; Jude Kelly, former Artistic Director of the Southbank Centre and Woman of the World; and Kathrin Hersel, Almacantar Property Director. Architect Simon Sturgis will serve as sustainability advisor to the panel.

“This year’s shortlist demonstrates sensitive and engaged thinking across a wide range of projects – from cemeteries to nurseries and from galleries to workspaces. It is a privilege to judge for Britain’s highest prize for excellence in architecture and to celebrate the outstanding work of my peers,” Adjaye said in a statement.

The 2018 RIBA Stirling Prize winner will be announced at the Roundhouse in London on October 10.
