The Architectural League of New York's Beaux Arts Ball was successful yet again this year at the historic Weylin B. Seymour's in Williamsburg, New York City this past Saturday. The ball's 2014 theme was "Craft", which celebrates the value of artisanship in architecture and multi-disciplinary collaboration in creating architecture.
Hundreds of well-dressed guests enjoyed drinks and desserts, and danced the night away with music by pazel. As a festive backdrop, eight architects and designers worked with Nuit Blanche New York to create digital art projections that highlighted the "craft" of the venue's interior motifs in the central domed hall.
Get a glimpse of the party below.
Billie Tsien of Tod Williams Billie Tsien Architects, was one of this year's co-chairs for the ball.
Clever idea. Maybe she got inspired by the "-isms" costume theme from the Beaux Arts Ball 2013.
