Just a few days left to give feedback on the shortlisted NZ Canterbury Memorial designs

EQM 1896 – "Memorial Ribbon Wall"

There's no doubt that the effects of the devastating 2010-11 earthquake sequence in the Canterbury region of New Zealand are still felt. As the rebuilding process continues throughout the region, the Christchurch Central Development Unit announced the international Ideas to Remember competition earlier this year for a memorial space to be built in memory of the 185 people who lost their lives.

You can voice your opinion on the six shortlisted designs online or at the Christchurch Botanic Gardens display until Sunday, March 15. The Evaluation Panel will consider public feedback along with that of the bereaved families and survivors of the quake. Ultimately, the Minister for Canterbury Earthquake Recovery will select the preferred design sometime in May.

Check out the shortlisted designs below.
