Overall Winner + Best Façade Design and Engineering: Ian Ritchie Architects Ltd., Sainsbury Wellcome Centre for Neural Circuits and Behaviour at UCL London, UK

The multiple category winners of the 13th annual LEAF Awards were celebrated at an award ceremony at the Millennium Gloucester Hotel in London last Friday. Organized by LEAF International, the awards competition recognizes outstanding work in the global architecture community. Earlier this year, Santiago Calatrava received the 2016 LEAF Lifetime Achievement Award for long-time contribution and influence in the field.

As one might expect, this year's winning projects were designed by plenty of familiar names. Some of them are Fletcher Priest Architects, Henning Larsen Architects, David Chipperfield, studio mk27, and Adrian Smith + Gordon Gill. The overall winning title went to Ian Ritchie Architects for the Sainsbury Wellcome Centre for Neural Circuits and Behaviour at UCL London.
