Eleven Magazine is gearing up for their first international design + ideas competition, which is now open for registration! All architects, designers, students, and multidisciplinary teams are invited to design a floating/movable structure to serve the remote Floating Village communities of Tonlé Sap Lake, a Cambodian UNESCO site that is now severely threatened by increasing levels of pollution and disease.
Be sure to register/submit by the deadline on September 11, 2015.

Tonle Sap Lake is the region's largest fresh water basin home to a large variety of unique wildlife specimens and over 1.2 million people living on unique Floating Villages.
COMPETITION BRIEF: A floating/movable/transient structure(s) to serve the remote Floating Village communities on the Tonle Sap Lake and act as:
- Medical Aid and Support Clinic
- Research and Safeguarding Hub
- Ecological Education Centre
The competition will be followed by exhibitions in the USA, Europe, and Cambodia. A publication will also emerge from the competition which will publish the best work from participants and distributed worldwide.
