A glimpse of ArquitectonicaGEO's award-winning Pérez Art Museum Miami landscape design

ArquitectonicaGEO shared the details of their exterior landscape design of the Pérez Art Museum Miami (PAMM) in Miami, Florida. Herzog & de Meuron designed the museum building, which debuted this past December during the latest Art Basel in Miami.

Recently, the Florida Chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects acknowledged ArquitectonicaGEO's landscape work with an Award in Excellence and the prestigious Frederic B. Stresau Award. The Stresau Award is bestowed to only one project every year in recognition of outstanding innovation and design.

Check out photos of the project below.

Project summary:

"For the landscape design of PAMM, ArquitectonicaGEO chose native plantings to display the raw materials of Miami's landscape, complementing and contrasting the geometric architecture of the building. Native trees, shrubs, groundcovers and vines spring from the ground plane in a vibrant counterpoint to more formal, hanging vertical green elements. In addition to the lush pan-tropical vegetation of South Florida, landscape materiality is deconstructed to exhibit the Earth’s most basic forms, including gravel in paths, the parking garage, and in the urban concrete environment."
