Haeahn Architecture wins “I-Square” tech hub in Seoul

South Korean practice Haeahn Architecture and collaborator Tomorrow had the winning scheme for the I-Square in Seoul. According to the architects, the 150,000 m2 I-Square will be the largest tech venture-capital project, as part of the new “South Korean Silicon Valley” development — which will accommodate high-tech enterprises, start-ups, and international investors.

The I-Square will also include offices, hotels, residential units, laboratories, and a shopping mall with recreational and cultural spaces, like multipurpose theaters and art galleries. If all goes accordingly, I-Square is expected to complete construction and officially open in 2020.

Scroll down to check out the team's winning proposal.
