HENN is no stranger to designing corporate headquarters, from Shenzhen to Berlin. Most recently, the practice had the winning scheme to design Continental AG's new home in Hanover, Germany. At 44,388 m², the new headquarters will unite all of the company's facilities into one connected campus. Construction is currently scheduled to begin next April, and the company's staff will be relocated into the new building by 2021 during the company's 150th anniversary.

Check out HENN's winning scheme below.

Organized into a northern and southern construction segment, the project “encompasses a campus-like freestanding development, consisting of individual buildings connected to each other via bridges,” HENN describes.

“The central element of the design idea is the ‘Loop’, which symbolically embodies the power of communication and cooperation. As a space providing ubiquitous accessibility and interactions, the development can be experienced both from inside and from outside. It provides a wide array of spaces for meetings, conferences, cafeterias and informal workstations, and opens up scope for creativity and knowledge exchanges.”

“The ‘Loop’ is a dynamic spatial continuum, bringing all the staff together in a horizontal hierarchy and intermeshing the individual departments with each other.”
