The Jersey City Redevelopment Agency has selected OMA and AEA to lead development on the new Jersey City Museum in Journal Square. OMA New York will serve as the team’s architecture firm, while AEA will function as a consulting partner specializing in strategy and planning. The museum will be located inside of the Pathside Building adjacent to the PATH station, and will house a variety of art forms and community activities.

The five-story, 55,000 square foot building will focus on the visual arts with a component of the building reserved for local artists. The close proximity to the PATH gives this future museum space a unique opportunity to bring in artists and visitors as Journal Square continues to grow its arts and culture communities.
