This year’s Legends 2024 dinner and fundraising gala at the Pratt Institute will feature architect Toshiko Mori, filmmaker Charles Burnett, and industrial designer Marc Rosen.
The announcement was made Thursday ahead of the October 10th celebration, which raises scholarship funds for Pratt’s student body – about 80% of whom receive some financial aid through the course of their studies.
Mori, who is currently the Robert P. Hubbard Professor in the Practice of Architecture at the Harvard Graduate School of Design, joins the Class of 1970 alum Rosen and Burnett at the Lavan Midtown event space in Manhattan. She is coming off of last year's win of the Philip Hanson Hiss Award.
“We are thrilled to celebrate Legends 2024 and honor the extraordinary contributions of Charles Burnett, Toshiko Mori, and Marc Rosen. Their groundbreaking work in film, architecture, and packaging design has set new standards and inspired countless individuals,” Pratt's President Frances Bronet said of the contingent. “This event not only recognizes their achievements but also raises essential funds to support our students’ education, ensuring the next generation of creative leaders can thrive and make a significant impact in the world.”
The gala begins at 6PM with a cocktail reception and will be followed by a 7PM dinner and awards ceremony. Tickets to the event are available for purchase here.
