In June, Bishkek International School held a worldwide competition for a new campus design.
The overall Winner is Tom Brock and Mario Shllaku of Ethos Urban, Australia. The concept is for school buildings and facilities within a 10 to 15 hectare campus, including sports facilities and recreational areas and 15,000 sq metres internal space to accommodate up to 750 students. Requirements include: sustainable environment, zero carbon, natural materials, low maintenance, attractive & stimulating environment.
A place that is happy, creative, relaxing, and inspiring, with full facilities for all school activities, including math, sciences, creative arts, languages, humanities, community service, and sports. Tom and Mario are worthy winners and we look forward to developing and building on their ideas in a new campus
The Runner Up Award was won by Ekaterina Ignatova of Agrarhi, Russia.
