The "Treatise: Why Write Alone?" project is a publication and upcoming exhibition that explores the architectural treatise as a platform for experimentation, debate, and theoretical inquiry.
Organized by Bureau Spectacular founder Jimenez Lai, the project is based on the idea, "Why Write? And why write alone?" The exhibition will showcase over 200 new and recent works by 14 emerging designers that will fill the galleries of the Graham Foundation’s historic Madlener House in Chicago.
The exhibition makes its debut this Friday, January 23 and will run until March 28, 2015 at the Graham Foundation. The 14 individual treatises will be available as a single publication and separate volumes in March.
