EXTRA-ORDINARY: New Practices in Chilean Architecture | Opens June 22, recommended by Justine Testado
Brush up on some Chilean architecture history in this exhibition, which looks back on the evolution of modern and contemporary Chilean architecture that continues to attract global attention. Open at the Center for Architecture until September, the exhibition will showcase photos, schematic drawings, video interviews and more. And don't forget to see recently completed projects by 16 Chilean architects, including those by 2016 Pritzker laureate and Venice Biennale curator Alejandro Aravena.

Film screening: “The World of Buckminster Fuller” | June 23, recommended by Nicholas Korody
One of the most interesting and influential designers of the 20th century, Buckminster Fuller is well-known for his role in popularizing the geodesic dome as an architectural structure. But he did much more than that, from designing pre-fab, affordable housing prototypes to the Dymaxion car, a three-wheeled car designed to one day fly. Head over to the Museum of Arts and Design to check out a screening of "the World of Buckminster Fuller."

Isaac Mizrahi: An Unruly History | Open now until August 7, recommended by Amelia Taylor-Hochberg
The designer known for combining high- and low-brow, disrupting runway shows with models wearing Adidas sneakers and partnering with giant mass-market retailers like Target, is getting a thematic retrospective at the Jewish Museum. Enjoy an afternoon with Isaac Mizrahi's designs, and remember his wise words: "Style makes you feel great because it takes your mind off the fact that you're going to die."
