1. Title : International Design Competition for the New Yeongdeungpo-gu Government Office Complex 

2. Period of notice : Jun 27, 2025(Fri) 10:00 - Sep 26, 2025(Fri) 17:00 

3. Site Location : 385(site 1), 370-4(site 2) Dangsan-dong 3-ga, Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul 

 4. Site Area : 10,438㎡ (site 1: 7,498㎡, site 2: 2,940㎡) 

 5. Total floor area : 69,628.19㎡ (site 1: 56,189.72㎡, site 2: 13,438.47㎡) 

 6. Scope of the Competition  : Schematic design, Design development, and Construction documents of Architectural, structural, civil, landscaping, mechanical, information-and-communications, fire protection, interior etc..(excluding electrical design) 

 7. Estimated Construction Cost : KRW 268,611million (including VAT)

 8. Estimated Design Fee : KRW 12,393million (including VAT) 

 9. Design Competition Objective  

◦ To select a creative and excellent architectural design plan through an International Design Competition 

 ◦ Objective    

  - Enhancement of work efficiency, and provision of convenient public administrative services    - Efficient government office complex spaces that accommodate changing administrative demands   

   - Construction of a local-community-friendly government office complex as a hub for public services  

 -   Construction of an eco-friendly and sustainable government office complex    

  - Establishment of a public health management, and quick and safe infectious disease response 

 10. Design Competition Type : Open and international design competition 

 11. Eligibility  

◦ By the registration deadline, Korean architects must hold architect qualifications under Article 7 of the “Certified Architects Act”, and registered (reported) founding of architectural firm pursuant to Article 23 of the same Act, and have no grounds for disqualification under relevant laws. [Qualification ①] 

 ◦ As of the registration deadline, foreign architects (offices or individuals) must hold architect qualification under the laws of their own countries [Qualification ②], and must jointly submit an entry with a party who holds the qualification of the above [Qualification ①].

 13. Submission of Design Competition Entry :  Sep 26, 2025(Fri) 10:00-17:00

 14. Awarded Entries and Honoraria 

 ◦ 1st prize: The preferential rights to negotiate for SD·DD·CD and design intent implementation

 ◦ Awardees: The Jury Committee shall select up to four awardees(※ Criteria for honoraria : Refer to the Design Competition Guidelines)
