International Architecture Competition for Gyeongju Integrated Cultural Library

The city of Gyeongju aims to establish a landmark library that serves as a daily space for relaxation and a hub connecting the local knowledge and cultural ecosystem. The purpose of this design competition is to select a creative and feasible design proposal that meets the following objectives: 

· GLAM Convergence Hub: Creation of a complex cultural library where exhibition, reading, archiving, and education are organically interconnected (GLAM - Gallery, Library, Archive, Museum). 

· User-Centered Community: A flexible spatial system that accommodates users from infants to seniors, integrating both static and dynamic areas for diverse activities. · Digital & AI-Based Services: Development of intelligent service infrastructure, including smart search and recommendation features, based on data integration and open standards. 

· Harmony with History and Nature: Reflecting the historical and scenic environment of Gyeongju, while creating external spaces for rest and community that connect with surrounding pathways and the local environment.
