International Design Competition for the Daejeon Regional Government Complex

This project aims to improve the convenience of the public by integrating national administrative services, reduce operational costs through the consolidation of office facilities, enhance welfare for civil servants with the construction of new buildings, and increase administrative efficiency. The eight special administrative agencies that are to be housed in the new facility were selected based on the condition of their current buildings, safety, inadequate office space, and reliance on external leasing.

• Site Area: Approximately 30,000㎡ out of a total area of 461,477.4㎡
• Total Floor Area: 40,939㎡
• Estimated Construction Cost: 107,364 million KRW (including VAT, excluding electrical work)
• Design Service Fee: 4,814 million KRW (including VAT, excluding electrical design fee)
• Service Period: 360 days from the start date (including public holidays, excluding permitting period)

• Announcement of Implementation: March 20, 2025 (Thursday) / Architecture Administration System (Seumteo), Public Procurement Service (G2B)
• Application Period: March 24, 2025 (Monday) 09:00 – March 31, 2025 (Monday) 17:00
• Inquiry Submission: April 7, 2025 (Monday) 10:00 – April 9, 2025 (Wednesday) 16:00
• Inquiry Responses: April 16, 2025 (Wednesday)
• Submission of Works: May 30, 2025 (Friday) 10:00–16:00, to be submitted in person (no mail, fax, etc.)

Judging

• 1st Round Evaluation: June 16, 2025 (Monday), written evaluation (selection of presentation works)
• 2nd Round Evaluation: June 23, 2025 (Monday), presentation evaluation (selection of winning and awarded works)
• Announcement of Winners: June 27, 2025 (Friday), within 7 days of the evaluation
