1. Event and Competition Summary

○ Event Title: Seoul International Garden Show 2024

○ Dates: May 2024 – October 2024 (Exhibition for 6 months)

- Main Event: 10 May - 19 May 2024, 10 Days

○ Location: Ttukseom Hangang Park (193 Gangbyeonbuk-ro, Gwangjin-gu, Seoul, Republic of Korea)

○ Theme: Metropolitan, Green Vibe

○ Competition Title: Show Garden Competition for Seoul International Garden Show 2024

○ Garden Type: Semi-Permanent Garden (Gardens will be maintained on site after the show closes)

○ Competition Category: 2 types (Category to be determined according to the garden size)

 

- "Show Garden A"

Keyword: Resilience with Garden

Size: 3 Sites, Approx. 260㎡ per site

Budget: 120 Million KRW per site

 

- "Show Garden B"

Keyword: Garden for All

Size: 7 Sites, Approx. 140㎡ per site

Budget: 70 Million KRW per site

 

2. Eligibility

○ Any experts and professionals in relevant fields. See the attached 'Notice' for more information.

 

3. Competition Schedule

○ Announcement: 16 November - 18 December 2023, Total of 33 Days

○ Application Submission: 15 - 18 December 2023, 16:00

- Submission via E-mail: [email protected]

○ First Jury Review - Initial Screening: 21 December 2023

※ 3 Teams for Show Garden A, 7 Teams for Show Garden B

○ First Jury Review - Open Verification: 22 December 2023 - 3 January 2024

※ Use public communication platforms such as Sotong24 (Ministry of Interior and Safety)

○ First Jury Review Results Announcement: 5 January 2024

- Announcement via Seoul International Garden Show Website: www.SIGS2024.com

○ Garden Construction: 4 April - 3 May 2024, 17:00, Total of 30 Days

○ Second Jury Review – On-site: 7 May 2024, 14:00

※ Jury Review results to be announced during the opening ceremony

○ Award Ceremony: 10 May 2024, Opening Ceremony

○ Garden Exhibition: 10 May - 31 October 2024. Gardens to be left semi-permanently after the main Garden Show events closes.

※ See the attached 'Notice' for more information. All dates are subject to change in accordance with the circumstances of the hosts and/or the supervising organization. Should there be any changes, the announcement will be made on the Seoul International Garden Show Website.

 

4. Jury Committee

○ The Jury Committee is organized by the host(s) to consist of experts from the field.

 

5. Awards & Prizes

○ Total of 10 works will be awarded with a certificate of merit by the Mayor of Seoul Metropolitan City. Total prize money is 50 Million KRW.

- Show Garden A (3 Teams, Prize money per team):

1 Gold Prize (10 Million KRW) / 1 Silver Prize (7 Million KRW) / 1 Bronze Prize (4 Million KRW)

- Show Garden B (7 Teams, Prize money per team):

1 Gold Prize (7 Million KRW) / 2 Silver Prizes (5 Million KRW) / 4 Bronze Prizes (3 Million KRW)
