Registration/Submission Deadline: Sunday, October 20, 2024

"The Ann Arbor Downtown Development Authority’s (DDA) Elevate Program aims to fund public art and placemaking installations that enhance the downtown experience for all people.  Reflective of this commitment to public art and the Elevate Program goals, the Ann Arbor Downtown Development Authority is seeking to commission an artist or artist team to design and install a unique shade structure at the Farmers Market in Ann Arbor, MI.  The DDA is open to proposals of different mediums, including fabric or rigid materials, and desires a work that is positive, balances shade and light for different times of the year, and involves color."

Open Call - Festival des Architectures Vives 2025
Registration/Submission Deadline: Monday, December 2, 2024

"For this edition, we invite you to revisit the codes of architecture through the prism of gourmet delights. How can architecture become an invitation to delectation? The proposed installations will have to play with perceptions and invite visitors to an immersive experience. The challenge is to design installations that awaken the desire to be explored, tasted with the eye, and savored with the mind. The exploration of La Gourmandise offers a space to push back the boundaries of architecture. We want it to be a moment of pleasure for visitors, for the inhabitants, and for the owners of the site, but also for you as a designer."

2025 Lyceum Fellowship - A Community for the Future of Food
Registration/Submission Deadline: Thursday, May 22, 2025

"The 2025 Lyceum Competition explores sustainable building design in the Caribbean through the lens of its indigenous culinary arts and culture. Students will reimagine two reclaimed buildings situated on the beachfront in Bridgetown, Barbados, transforming them into vibrant hubs for culinary innovation and community gathering. For years, the Caribbean’s reliance on imported goods due to colonial ties has highlighted the disparities within its food system. As the youngest nation in the world, Barbados is ripe for innovation, calling for greater interdisciplinary collaboration and a sense of urgency to cultivate a food culture grounded in ecological farming, local consumption, and community engagement."
