Today, the Graham Foundation awarded over $400,000 in grants to organizations worldwide to support 41 projects that engage in original architectural ideas. Out of 220 submissions for 2017, the 41 winning projects were selected for demonstrating new scholarship, creative experimentation, critical dialogue, and creating more opportunities for the public to engage with architecture. They include Francis Kéré's 2017 Serpentine Pavilion in London, helloeverything/SelgasCano's Kibera Hamlets School in Kenya, “The Funambulist” from Paris, and the 2017 Black in Design Conference by Harvard GSD's African American Student Union, to name a few.

Moving forward, the projects will be undertaken by significant and emerging museums, educational institutions, architectural organizations, and biennials and triennials around the world like Paris, Mexico City, Rotterdam, Cleveland, and Chicago.

This past May, the Graham Foundation awarded $560,000 of Individual Grants to 72 projects.
