INTERNATIONAL TENDER FOR Shenzhen Institute of Advanced Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences

"Shenzhen Institute of Advanced Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences (tentative name, hereinafter referred to as 'SIAT') is co-founded by the Shenzhen Municipal Government and Chinese Academy of Sciences, relying on the basis of Shenzhen Advanced Technology Institute, in deep cooperation. It is to build an independent full-time university, giving full play to the advantages of science and education. SIAT aims at building a science and technology-based, scientific leading, world-class research university. The project is located in Shenzhen Guangming Science City, Xinhu Street, Guangming District. The university is plan to host 8,000 students, with a total investment of about 5 billion RMB, which is funded by the municipal government. International tender for Shenzhen Institutes of Advanced Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences Schematic Design and Architectural Design Development is now OPEN FOR APPLICATION."

FITT FUTURE HEADQUARTERS

"YAC - Young Architects Competitions - and FITT launch FITT FUTURE HEADQUARTERS, a competition of ideas aiming to design the new and innovative headquarters of FITT. The cash prize of € 20, 000 will be distributed to the winning proposals selected by an international jury panel made of, among the others: Audun Opdal (3XN), Emmanuelle Moureaux, Nicola Scaranaro (Foster + Partners), Hasan Çalışlar (Erginoğlu & Çalışlar Architects), Carlo Ratti."

International Competition of Integrated Urban and Architecture Masterplan for Suwon Dangsu District 2, Suwon, S. Korea

Submission Deadline: Tuesday, Mar 30, 2021

"The purpose of a design plan is to provide a new three-dimensional integrated city construction plan by connecting with various kinds of city plan-related materials including the city master plan of Suwon-si. [...] The main objective is to develop residential areas that become a desirable model as a 'street space-oriented sharing city' by considering the design conditions including the topography and surrounding situations of the project site."

East Park Cluj-Napoca
Register/Submit Deadline: Thursday, Jan 28, 2021

"The Order of Architects in Romania (OAR) and the Municipality of Cluj-Napoca officially announce the launch of the 'East Park Cluj-Napoca' International Design Competition. [...] The new arrangement will have to ensure the conservation under optimal conditions of the wetland with its specific flora and fauna, developed spontaneously and being a unique biotope in the urban environment of Transylvania. At the same time, the promoter wants to arrange a park that fulfils the usual functions for these kinds of public spaces, and that both socially and functionally reactivates the area through the landscape qualities of the created frames. By being integrated into the system of other urban planted areas, the future East Park will become an important node in the green network of the city and of the East area of the Cluj-Napoca municipality."
