Ten residential buildings, spanning an array from single-family homes to specialized housing, have been revealed as the winners of this year's AIA Housing Awards.

Now in its 21st edition, the annual program recognizes design excellence in the residential sector and evaluates buildings for being "sustainable, affordable, durable, innovative, socially impactful, meeting client needs, and addressing the natural and built contexts."

The Seattle area was especially successful with three winning buildings by Miller Hull Partnership, Studio DIAA, and Wittman Estes. Three projects along the California coast also won awards.
