Now in its eleventh year, the AR House Awards are an annual way of celebrating the art of private homes. Since its inception, the award has set out to advance the typology as it shifts to meet demands that are essential and timeless.
Shortlisted projects include an artists studio in Iceland and a loft in arts outpost Marfa, Texas. Architects from Japan, Switzerland, the UK, US, Norway, and Iceland were among the many to apply for one of 15 slots. The winner and commended projects of this year will be announced later once the jury convenes.
This year's shortlist will be judged by former finalists Fernanda Canales, Tina Gregorič, and David Leech.
