Request for Ideas: Memorial to the Victims of the 1871 Chinese Massacre
Register/Submit Deadline: Wednesday, Oct 12, 2022
"The City of Los Angeles is seeking conceptual ideas—from individuals, firms, or groups of artists, designers, architects, and others—for a world-class new memorial to the victims of the 1871 Chinese Massacre, in which at least 18 residents of Los Angeles, or roughly ten percent of the city’s Chinese population at the time, were murdered on October 24, 1871. The new memorial seeks to simultaneously raise public awareness of the 1871 Chinese massacre in Los Angeles and to address contemporary concerns about race, intolerance, and violence. It strives to tell the story of the little-known largest mass killing in Los Angeles history but also to convey a broader, more universal message."

Incheon Museumpark International Design Competition
Registration Deadline: Saturday, Oct 15, 2022
Submission Deadline: Wednesday, Nov 30, 2022
"Incheon Metropolitan City intends to create a place where city, architecture, and nature can harmonize through the cultural experience of citizens by establishing “Incheon Museumpark”, a cultural park complex including a museum and an art museum. Incheon, where a port and Incheon International Airport are located, has grown as a gateway city to Korea. As the city of Haebulyangsu (海不讓水, The sea refuses no river), Incheon has a unique locality where diverse cultures coexist. The Incheon Museumpark project will provide an excellent opportunity for Incheon's architectural and urban history by spatially materializing Incheon's identity in the international context and cultural dimension."

It is a forum that examines the relationship between the skyscraper and the natural world, the skyscraper and the community, and the skyscraper and the city."
