"The eponymous Dewan Award for Architecture is an annual open-ideas architectural competition. The exciting international award focuses on designs that respond to the local challenges in Iraq. [...] Participants in this year's Dewan Award are encouraged to provide solutions to transform Dakeer Island into a useable, influential and cosmopolitan recreational waterfront that contributes to Basra's residents' well-being and quality of life. It should establish new urban standards for long-term developments that encourage growth, sociable responsibility and sustainability. Dewan strives to empower young architects worldwide and provide crucial guidance to excel in the industry."

House of the Future

Submission Deadline: Wednesday, November 1, 2023

"For the House of the Future competition, participants are tasked with designing a template for a new-age home for Emirati citizens in Dubai. Run in partnership with The Dubai Government, the jury is searching for innovative projects that use design to refresh the current offerings to locals, bringing them more up-to-date with the architectural aesthetic of the country and its people. [...] Winning entries will be put forward for consideration for construction by Dubai Government, as well as receiving a share of the 250,000 € prize fund."

"Since the Gwangju Biennale was first launched in Korea in 1995, it has been held on 14 occasions. As a result, it has taken root as a world culture brand, however it has faced a number of limitations in its development due to the facilities which make it difficult to reflect new exhibition trends as time has passed. So, we have established a new exhibition space which can reflect the flow of contemporary art and provide an exuberant citizen-friendly, cultural delight, and healing space to an urban area as well as strengthening the status and identity of the Gwangju Biennale and preparing for the holding of stable and methodical events as a world culture brand."

The Future is Now & Beyond Imagination - The Green Product Awards 2024

"For more than 10 years, the international Green Product Awards have been honouring products from companies and start-ups that stand out for their sustainability, design and impact. The annual theme of the Green Product Awards, The Future is now, is reflected in the key visual and in the accompanying special project: together with the German-Dutch architecture firm A01, the best participants of the Award 2024 will be integrated into a European version of the 'No Footprint House' that won last year."
