AIA Brooklyn has announced the winners of their 2022 Brooklyn Design Awards (BKDA). Held each year, the awards celebrate projects based in Brooklyn or completed by Brooklyn-based architects/designers. The nine selected projects, ranging from small-scale architectural activations to large-scale urban developments, were chosen to reflect each project’s “design excellence, technical skill, innovation, environmental responsiveness, and/or social impact.”
“Brooklyn is a hotbed of culture, industry, creativity, and ingenuity,” noted Jason Boutin, 2022 Brooklyn Design Awards Committee Chair and partner at The Brooklyn Studio. “Today, it is one of the best-known place names in the world and this program is proud to celebrate those Brooklyn architects driven by the values of the borough.”
