YAC announces the winners of Pinocchio Children's Library Competition

YAC – Young Architects Competitions has announced the winners of the design contest for the Pinocchio Children's Library, an ideas competition that was launched last September and aimed a designing the greatest international library dedicated to Pinocchio, the most famous puppet in the world.
The jury that assessed the submissions was noteworthy and included Italo Rota, Mario Cucinella, Fabio Novembre, Emmanuelle Moureaux, and others. There was a total cash prize of € 20,000, awarded to the winning projects: the 1st prize – € 10,000 – was awarded to the French team “vGHcompany”, the 2nd prize - € 4,000 – to the Polish team “Gierbienis + Poklewski” and the 3rd one - € 2,000 – went to the Guatemalan team “De Oliveira Castro Arquitectos”. The 4 Gold Mentions – a prize of € 1,000 each – have been assigned to teams “OPV” (Italy), “OOLI” (South Korea), “DEPLUS ZATTI” (France) e “Pájaros mañaneros” (Spain). Besides, 43 additional projects have been awarded 11 Honorable Mentions and 32 Finalist Mentions respectively.
