Revisiting the 2019 Festival des Architectures Vives “Beauty” installations

Every summer, thousands of visitors and locals alike flock to the historical city center of Montpellier, France for the Festival des Architecture Vives, a weeklong exhibition of site-specific, public art installations that connect private mansions and courtyards that are typically closed off to the public. Taking place this past June, the 2019 exhibition explored the theme of “Beauty”.

Designed by a selection of emerging architects and designers based in France and abroad, have a look at this year's installations right below.
