Ten Montreal-based projects have been announced as the individual winners of the 2023 Prix d’excellence by the Ordre des Architectes du Québec. Now in its 41st year, the prize celebrates designs from around the province that stands out for their creativity and commitment to the community. This year’s contest did away with the traditional prize categories to encourage broader participation and the inclusion of smaller projects and those that were harder to place.

According to the organization, which has over 4,600 members: “Applications were thus evaluated as a whole, using criteria that, among other things, reflect the Ordre’s vision of socio-ecological transition.”
