After last week's heatwave and storms, avoid the predictably unpredictable English weather with a host of exhibitions and activities in galleries all over London. It's your last chance to catch Sou Fujimoto's Futures of Future exhibition at London's Japan House, so don't miss this collection of works from one of Japan's most influential architects. (as pictured above)

Check back regularly to keep up to date with London's latest happenings and our weekly recommendations.

Kirkaldy Testing Museum | 5 August

The Kirkaldy Testing Museum is one of the wonders of London's pioneering engineering history. Open for just a few hours per month, this museum was built around the Kirkaldy Univeral Testing Machine, which was originally used to test the strength of construction and manufacturing materials. We today still benefit from the results of these tests carried out by this fascinating machine; visit to find out about the inventor, the machine, and the family who ran the business for almost 100 years.
