National Museum of World Writing International Design Competition
Purpose of Competition
The purpose of this competition is to select an optimal design for the establishment of a 'National Museum of World Writing' for the collection, conservation, research and exhibition of the writing systems of various nations across the globe, and to create a multi-use cultural space for experience and education as well as creative activities.
Competition Outline
Sponsor: Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Republic of Korea
Location: Songdo-dong 24-8, Yeonsu-gu, Incheon , Republic of Korea (inside Songdo Central Park)
Site Area: 19,418㎡
(Natural Green Area, Free Economic Zone, Building Coverage Ratio: 30%, Floor Area Ratio: 150%)
Building Area: 15,650㎡ (adjustments within 5% are permitted)
Design Scope: National Museum of World Writing (outdoor space, parking etc.)
Construction Cost (Estimated): ₩55.052 Billion KRW (surtax incl.)
- Building Construction Cost: ₩43.353 Billion KRW
- Exhibition Hall Construction Cost: ₩11.699 Billion KRW
Design Fee (Estimated): ₩2.802 Billion Won (surtax incl.)
※ The selected winner(s) of the competition must carry out the basic design of the exhibition hall according to the guidelines (task order) provided by the competition sponsor.
Design Period: 360 days from the beginning of project initiation
Construction Period: 720 days from the beginning of project initiation ※ The design and construction period are subject to change according to the circumstances of the competition sponsor

Judging
- The judging process will be divided into a technical review and primary judging round.
- In the technical review round, the Technical Committee will review the submitted entries to determine whether or not they conform to the competition guidelines; these results will be presented to the Jury Committee.
- The judging method of the primary judging round will be determined by the jury committee.
- The Head Juror will prepare a report on the results of the judging, which is to be signed by all of the jurors and submitted to the competition sponsor.
Competition Prizes
- First Place Winner (1 team): Awarding of Design Contract
(1 work/building design, including the basic design of the exhibition hall)
- Second Place (1 team): 50,000,000 KRW
- Third Place (1 team): 30,000,000 KRW
- Honorable Mentions (2 teams): 10,000,000 KRW each
Competition Method
This is an open competition targeted towards both domestic and international architects (and firms).
Language & Units
The official language of this design competition is English. However, the competition guidelines will be released in both Korean and English. All measurements must use SI units. Furthermore, all dates and times will be indicated in Korea Standard Time (GMT+9).
Eligibility
Any domestically or internationally licensed architect is eligible to participate; in the event of a joint entry, one member of the team must be designated and registered as the team representative. However, members of the Committee for the Establishment of the National Museum of World Writing or members of the Jury, Technical, or Management Committees, or individuals employed by organization(s) which those members belong to, are ineligible to participate.
※ Architects licensed overseas may participate in the competition; in the event that such an architect is selected as the winner, a design service contract will only be awarded on the condition that the architect partners with a Korean architecture firm, as per Korean architectural law.

Participants must register via the competition website (writingmuseum.org); materials related to the competition may be downloaded through the website after the registration deadline.
Inquiries (Q&A)
Participants may post questions via the competition website. Responses to the posted questions will be regarded as additions/revisions to the competition rules.
Reference Materials
Separate reference materials required for the competition will be provided through the competition website via direct download before the registration deadline.
Entry Submission & Reception
Entries may be submitted by post or in person; entries received after the deadline will not be processed. Entries submitted by post must be postmarked by September 1, 2017 and must arrive at the reception office by 6:00PM on September 6, 2017. The address of the reception office will be announced on the competition website at a later date.

GreetingsI'm from who are registered in the competition and have given the PIN number now had finished design and wanted to send it via mail does need but now I know the address of the receiving Office and to send them now because of the distance where I am from Iraq and may take an extended period to debt exceeding the deadline for receipt please kind receiving Office information in Korea
