The National Folk Museum of Korea, located within Gyeongbokgung Palace, is planning to relocate to accommodate the Gyeongbokgung Palace restoration project by 2030.
Through this design competition, we aim to receive proposals for the relocation and construction of the museum in the National Museum Complex in Sejong City.
This competition will be open to general submissions, and applications for the design competition will be accepted from September 23 to October 4.

Site area: 50,815 m²
Gross floor area: 23,473 m²
Building coverage ratio/Floor area ratio: 50% / 200%
Estimated construction cost: 78.76 billion KRW (excluding electrical and exhibition construction costs, including VAT)
Estimated design cost: 5.138 billion KRW (excluding electrical design costs, including basic and detailed design, various certification fees, surveying, investigation fees, impact assessment fees, licensing fees, model production costs, VAT, etc.)
