NOT A HOTEL design competition 2024: a test of skill

"A competition aimed at architects and creators under the age of 40, with a view to realizing and selling their designs. The next NOT A HOTEL will be designed by you. The setting is Kitakaruizawa. Located 95 minutes from the city center, this 67,000m2 forest spreads out at the foot of Mt. Asama, away from the hustle and bustle. In the summer, it becomes a summer resort where you can enjoy BBQs and other activities, and in the winter, you can immerse yourself in a world of silvery white and gather around a fire. Pininfarina announces the launch of its 2024/2025 Global Design Contest, inviting final-year students from selected schools worldwide, specializing in mobility design, interaction design, and architecture, to participate. Accessible Dwelling Unit Design Competition

Submission Deadline: Monday. October 14, 2024

"The AIA (American Institute of Architects) Phoenix Metro and the City of Phoenix are teaming up together to hold a design competition for schematic ADU designs in accordance with the City of Phoenix Ordinance G-7160 with the intent of helping to develop the City of Phoenix's ADU 'Pre-Approved' Standard Plans Library. A selection committee will evaluate each design submission. The winning designs will be awarded a cash prize. Additionally, funding will be provided by the City of Phoenix, to help selected winners complete their Standard Plan submittal package for the City of Phoenix."
