The winners have been unveiled for the 2026 AIA New York Design Awards. In total, 24 winning projects were honored in categories of Architecture, Interiors, Projects, and Urban Design, all intended to “celebrate the wonder of architecture, its role in building community, and its capacity as a vehicle for optimism.”
The winners were selected from over 200 entries, ranging from cultural institutions and academic buildings to intimate interventions in public space. Each winning project, granted either an Honor, Merit, or Citation, was chosen for its design quality, response to its context and community, program resolution, innovation, thoughtfulness, and technique.
Below we have set out the winners of the 2026 edition. You can compare this year’s selection to that of previous years by following our ongoing coverage of the series here.
