Newburgh: Design For Play

How can we reactivate the streets of Newburgh, New York so that children - young and old - can safely play, learn, socialize and have fun this summer, and beyond? With support from the City of Newburgh, we’re seeking your most innovative and creative ideas to activate Newburgh’s streets and bring ‘play’ safely outdoors. Anyone can apply! Up to five winning entries will be chosen and awarded a design/build stipend of up to $2,000 to develop their ideas further and implement in Newburgh.

Call For Submissions - 2021 Taiwan Lantern Festival In Hsinchu

'Taiwan Lantern Festival' is an important event in Taiwan, each city in Taiwan will take turns to host the festival by different years. In 2021, will be arranged by the wind-city, "Hsinchu City," and Hsinchu City Government wants to try different forms for our traditional event, thus planned one of the venue to be in an open-call modus. There will be six venues/sites in Hsinchu City, one of the six- 'Long En Canal Site,' to build an international communication stage via arts, which venue will be curated by our team, archicake design, we are an architectural team having years of experience on running government projects/ exhibitions/ events in Taiwan.

Open International Competition for the Best Architectural and Urban Planning Concepts for the Integrated Development of Saratov's City Centre
Register/Submit Deadline: Thursday, Sep 3, 2020
Saratov is a city located in the southeastern European portion of Russia, and a major cultural and economic centre of the Volga region. This open international competition will determine the best concept for integrated development of 5 sites in the central part of the city: the former Saratov-Tsentralny (Saratov-Central) Airport, the Park Pobedy (Victory Park) Memorial Complex on Sokolovaya Gora, Zeleny Island, Glebuchev Ovrag (Glebuchev Ravine) and the Pokrovskie Peski (Pokrovsky Sands) Island.

2021 CTBUH Awards
Register/Submit Deadline: Friday, Sep 4, 2020
CTBUH is now accepting submissions for the 2021 Awards Program. A panel of judges will evaluate projects and individuals that have made extraordinary contributions to the advancement of tall buildings and the urban environment, and that achieve sustainability at the highest and broadest level. Awards will be given in over 20 categories across Best Tall Building, Urban Habitat, Innovation, Renovation, Interior Space, Construction, and Engineering.
