The Complete City: Filled In
Register/Submit Deadline: Friday, Jun 18, 2021
"Diverse housing, affordable housing, and workforce housing are among Portland’s most pressing needs. Recent changes in the city’s ReCode initiative have expanded the potential for Accessory Dwelling Units (ADUs) to help meet those needs. [...] The Portland Society for Architecture (PSA) would like to invite you to visualize and test the limits of Portland’s newly adopted building code regulating the construction of accessory dwelling units. The hope of PSA is that this competition will bring to light any overly restrictive rules in the current code as well as give inspiration to anyone looking to build an ADU on their own property."
