Europe 40 Under 40 Awards

"The Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design, together with The European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies, are organizing 'Europe 40 Under 40 Awards' for 2022-2023. Each year, our Institutions invite young European professionals to participate in this innovative awards program that spotlights Europe's next generation of up-and-coming European design practitioners. 'Europe 40 Under 40 Awards' includes architects, landscape architects, urban planners, and industrial and graphic designers who are European citizens under the age of 40 as of December 2022."

AI Architecture 2022
Register/Submit Deadline: Monday, Jan 9, 2023

"AI (Artificial Intelligence), while still evolving, is accelerating fundamental changes to our environment and values in society. AI that utilizes deep learning can possess independent cognition and acquire imagination and creativity like that of human beings. We are already beginning to see experimentation in AI’s creative ability through visual and performance art as well as writing. This competition fosters the use of artificial intelligence as a medium of creativity by allowing entrants to generate images using AI tools such as Midjourney and Dall-E. Entrants are challenged to create visualizations using AI to complete their architectural narrative."

OUTSTANDING ARCHITECTURE AND DESIGN FINAL PROJECT AWARD
Register/Submit Deadline: Friday, Jan 13, 2023

"IE School of Architecture and Design is pleased to announce our second edition of the OUTSTANDING ARCHITECTURE AND DESIGN FINAL DEGREE PROJECT AWARD. We have launched the awards with the intent to highly compensate graduates for the vast amount of time and effort spent on their final degree projects. All those who hold a Bachelor or a Master Degree in Architecture, Design, Interior Design, Product Design, Graphic Design, Landscape Design or related fields, who graduated between 2012 and 2022, and who were ranked in the top 25% of their class are eligible to compete for the Outstanding Architecture and Design Thesis Award."

Metals in Construction 2023 Design Challenge: Redevelopment for Residential Use
Register/Submit Deadline: Wednesday, Feb 15, 2023

"The cultural change in office use brought on by the pandemic amidst a widespread housing shortage suggests redevelopment opportunities that can be explored through the lens of a speculative design competition. This is the theme of the Metals in Construction magazine 2023 Design Challenge, which awards a $15,000 grand prize to the most innovative design concept illustrating the feasibility of redeveloping an office tower for residential use."
